Announcement (Direct Procurement Announcement on EKAP)

In direct procurements, the announcement is the publication of information relating to the procurement through EKAP in the format determined by the Public Procurement Authority. Under the Communiqué the announcement is not compulsory; the contracting authority makes it if it wishes. Where it is made, however, at least twenty-four hours must be left between the date of the announcement and the final time for submitting tenders. Announcements not in the prescribed format are not published, and making an announcement does not oblige the authority to proceed with the procurement.
