Change of Site (Works)

In works, a change of site is the alteration of the sites handed over to the contractor after the contract has been signed, in case of necessity, provided that the contract price is not exceeded and that the contracting authority and the contractor agree. In that case the costs of transporting the materials, vehicles and machinery brought to the work to the new site, and of moving and installing the site buildings and facilities, if any, from the old site, are borne by the contractor. The period of the work is extended for part or all of it so as to cover the delay.
