Controlled Defence Industry Material

Weapons, ammunition, and war vehicles and equipment, together with their parts, accessories, equipment and related technologies, whose production, importation, exportation, sale, transfer or use is subject to the permission and supervision of the Ministry of National Defence because of their strategic importance for national security and defence requirements. Such material is determined within the controlled list, and firms producing or trading in those products must obtain a production permit, a facility security certificate and other defence industry security permits.
