Critical Defect

Defects that impede the performance of the product subject to the contract, or that are dangerous and unsafe for the user or maintainer and may give rise to danger to life, are treated as critical defects. Where contracting authorities specify such defects in the technical specifications, critical defects found during the inspection and acceptance procedures and exceeding the standard require the goods to be rejected.
