Demonstration Evaluation

An applied technical evaluation process carried out, particularly in tenders for the procurement of goods or devices whose technical characteristics must be tested by application or operation, so that it may be shown in practice and examined by the contracting authority whether the products offered by tenderers meet the criteria set out in the technical specifications. Tenderers may be required to install, operate or demonstrate the use of the product or system offered, and the authority assesses conformity with the technical specifications on that basis.
