Easement Right

An obligation created as a right in rem in favour of another immovable property or a person, comprising consent to the enjoyment and use of an immovable property or the relinquishment of the exercise of certain rights of ownership. The purpose of establishing easement rights and granting use permits over Treasury immovable property is to enable investment in agriculture, livestock and aquaculture; education, health and sport; industry and energy; and social, cultural and tourism projects. Easement rights are, with exceptions, granted after notice under Article 17 of Law No. 2886.
