Insurance of the Work and the Site (Goods and Services)
In goods and service procurements, the insurance of the work and the site denotes the contractor's obligation under public procurement contracts to take out the necessary insurance against risks that may arise during the performance of the contract in respect of the conduct of the work, the site, equipment, materials and loss caused to third parties. Such insurance is intended to cover risks such as occupational accidents, loss caused to third parties, and loss to the site and equipment. Where the contract provides for an insurance obligation, the contractor must take out that insurance.
