Local Procurement

Local procurement means that all administrations to which appropriations are transferred procure their own requirements from the locality where they are situated. It rests on the principle that administrations attached to the same ministry meet themselves those requirements of every kind that cannot be met by central procurement and in which their discretion comes to the fore. Examples include an administration's catering service, vehicle and personnel shuttle rental service, and procurement of fresh vegetables.
