Performance Bond
The security taken from the contractor at the stage of signing the contract, in order to secure performance of the undertaking in accordance with the contract and the annexed documents. It is taken from the tenderer to whom the tender is awarded at a rate of 6% calculated on the tender price. In service and works tenders, where the tender of the successful tenderer falls below the threshold value, a performance bond of 9% of the estimated cost is taken.
