Procurement Unit or Department (Units Within Firms)
A procurement unit or department is the specialised internal unit established in firms participating in public tenders for following tender notices, examining tender documents, checking qualification documents, preparing tenders, EKAP procedures, security processes, application periods and monitoring the performance of the contract. It is the organisational structure within the tenderer's own internal organisation that enables the firm to participate in public tenders in a more orderly, informed and secure manner.
