Spare Part (Equivalent Spare Part)

In public procurement, an equivalent spare part is a spare part that serves the same purpose of use as the original spare part produced by the manufacturer of the principal material, or as the original equivalent spare part used in that manufacturer's production chain, and that has been produced in conformity with the original or original equivalent part in terms of physical, chemical and functional characteristics and manufacturing method, appropriately to the place of use. It differs from the original and original equivalent parts as regards the connection with the manufacturer.
